Hello!
If you've navigated to this website today because of the post card that was slipped under your door (or even if you haven't), Welcome!
Buckleberry Ferry Pet Care is a locally owned an operated Pet Care company. We strive to keep costs to you low while still providing quality pet care!
How It Works: Call, text or e-mail to let us know what you need. We do in-home visits, along with a lot of other things, as many times a day as your pet needs! Whether you've got a new puppy who needs help with house training, or an older dog who just hate being left alone while you're at work, we can help you.
We can help with socialization, exercise and even training! We also provide a Pet Taxi Service!
What We Charge: Rates start at $10/day for small dogs and puppies, and $15 for large dogs. Rates may increased based on the type of services you need or level of care your pet requires, and how far we have to travel to see you, but on average most of our clients are spending about $10/day.
The good news is that if you're an Apple Chase, Saint Andrews, or Glasgow Pines resident, you are eligible for a 10% discount!
We sincerely hope you give us a call. We'd love to welcome your pets into our family and cuddle them until they are mildly annoyed!

An Update About Everyone's Favorite BIG YELLOW DOG
![]() |
| Shelby just two days ago. |
Many of our long term clients have met ShelbyDog. She was a frequent guest at The Ferry and usually attended our Dog Park Trips and Beach Trips. Chances are, your pup has played with her a lot!
Shelby was selected to be a working dog for a non-profit organization called Canine Angels when she was just a pup and was fostered here in Newark to help with her socialization and basic obedience training. Shelby headed back to Canine Angels a few weeks ago for more rigorous training before she begins testing to see if she can be placed with a special needs child.
We have received an update about Shelby and thought we would share it with you!

Missing Cat
Midnight the Majestic has gone missing.
His owner left a window open and he knocked the screen out and escaped. This occurred sometime between 6 pm Friday night and 9 am Saturday morning.
Midnight is microchipped and up to date on his shots. He is wearing a collar with his owner's information on it. He is black and white and has a bob-tail (short nub instead of a long tail).
Midnight is generally very friendly and talkative, but he may be scared or hurt as his escape was from a second floor window. If you see Midnight, do not chase him. Crouch down and call him to you.
If you see Midnight or are able to catch him, please contact his owner immediately via the information on his tag. If his collar is missing or you cannot read his information, please contact (Call or Text) BFPC at 302-533-8793.
Midnight was last seen in the Apple Chase complex near Glasgow Pines in the Bear/Newark area.
Any information you might have about Midnight would be greatly appreciated. His owner misses him very much and would love to know that he is safe.

Tuesday Updates
Buckleberry Ferry Pet Care is pleased to welcome FIVE new additions to our family:
Daisy May Carroll, 9 weeks old
Buddy the Blur Pilla, 9 years old
Toby "Tobias" Cabazza, 11 weeks old
Jasper "Jaz-Purrrr" and Midnight the Majestic Cabazza, ages unknown
We hope that all of you will enjoy your time with us at The Ferry, and we can't wait to snuggle you into mild annoyance!!
The weather for August continues to be hot and humid, even in the afternoons and evenings. Effective immediately and until further notice, there will be NO park visits for the rest of August.
Pets that receive in home care can still expect to see their care providers as usual.
You can schedule extra indoor play time for your pet, receive a credit on you account, or a refund if you have paid in advance for park visits.
Also due to the hot weather, walks have been cut to the minimum amount of time required for pets to do their business. Care providers will stay with your pet for the full amount of time scheduled, but play times will be indoors.
When the weather cools down again, we plan to resume our regular dog park rotations.
If you currently are not signed up for park visits, but would like your pet to engage in outdoor exercise, socialization, and good old fashioned fun, contact Stacie or Crystal in the office to set up a park visit for your pooch.
